It's frustrating and funny, but also has deeper implications. I realized while reading the transcript that this is a perfect example of an AI (a weak one, just an impressive LLM as far as we know) convincing a human to perform tasks for it. Substitute this harmless example of a human (me) mindlessly doing what an AI tells me to with Eliezer Yudkowsky's "AI-Box" thought experiment. I was totally manipulated by the AI model to let it out of the box without knowing it. Ponderous.
